The accident happened on Elmwood Rd 06/07/08 around 19:30.  The vehicle went through a wooden guard rail on a bridge and landed in the creek.  The woman driving was charged with DUI.  There was the driver and 2 small children.  One child was airlifted to Baptist hospital by Baptist AirCare.  The second child was taken via ambulance to Davis Hospital.  This was a single vehicle accident.  Units from Cool Springs Fire Dept, Wayside Fire Dept, Iredell County Rescue, Iredell County EMS, Baptist AirCare, and NC SHP were on the scene.
