Iredell Rescue responded to this accident around lunch time today (Tuesday). It occured on Salisbury Road at the new car wash in the 1400 block. The patient was pinned for about 20 minutes before being freed. The drivers door was removed, the roof cut off to gain access with the Amkus power tools. The patient appeared to have head and chest injuries and was airlifted to Baptist by Aircare. Iredell Rescue, EMS, Statesville Fire and Police responded to the scene.
