On 5-16-2009 approximately 19:00 hrs Hickory Fire Department was dispatched to a reported structure fire at Firebonz restaurant on Hwy 70 SE. E7, E1, L1, C7 were the initial response. The first due Engine Company reported heavy smoke while still en-route. C7, (The Battalion Chief) Called for a 2nd alarm bring in Engine 5, Rescue 1, and some off duty personnel who were called back. The fire in still under investigation by the fire prevention division of Hickory Fire Department. The restaurant was occupied at the time of the fire. No injuries were reported.
