Car vs. House & Vehicle
Buffalo Shoals Rd @ Back Creek Rd
The call came in as vehicle into a house with no injuries. The first units on the scene reported that a male subject had run and was possibly intoxicated. Officers from Iredell County Sheriff's Dept arrived with their K-9 unit, and proceeded to track the suspect and located him a short way from the scene. He was placed under arrest. The suspects vehicle left the road in a curve, hit a ditch, crossed another road taking out the street sign, and then into the victim's house. The victim had just laid down on the sofa against the wall to the carport. Upon the vehicle hitting her house, it knocked her across the room, moving the house about 6 inches and bursting water pipes inside the house. Doors and walls were cracked inside the house. Units from Iredell County EMS, Troutman Fire & Rescue, Iredell County Sheriff Dept, and NC State Highway Patrol were on scene.
