Car vs. Tree

Vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree approx 5-6' in the
air tearing the top of the tree off. Passenger ejected through
passenger rear window, thrown 40+ feet from impact. Driver in vehicle entrapped,
later learned that patient had been out of vehicle and ran back in when
Mooresville PD arrived. The ejected patient was flown to CMC, the driver was
transported to LNRMC. Mooresville FD, Mooresville Rescue, MPD, SHP and both
Mooresville EMS units and IMED 10 responded.
