Car vs. Tree

The incident occurred with a light rain falling.  The SUV came to the T-intersection and went across the intersection, hitting a tree.  The driver got out of the vehicle, and then felt dizzy and got into the back seat.  The impact broke the steering column.  The patient was loaded and transported to the hospital.  A unit from Charlotte Mecklenburg Police stopped and helped with traffic control.  Units from Troutman Fire & Rescue, Iredell County EMS and NC State police were on scene.
